The food service and ambiance is top tier. We dined here many many times. So far everything on the menu is delicious minus the beef stroganoff. Hard hard pass. The smell and taste was so off. I struggled to eat it trying to not be wasteful just couldn't.

French toast was great. At $8 an unbelievable quality. Daughter got the pancakes, also delicious. Server was friendly and attentive. Also got 2 bloody Marys. They were good, not great. Nice place, everything is clean and comfortable. Will definitely be back soon and often to try some of the higher end dishes.

What an excellent hidden gem. We were seated by the fireplace which felt great. Keeley was our awesome server. She was so knowledgeable about the menu and offered helpful suggestions and also very personable. The prices were reasonable with large portions. Their pastry area has a display of so many mouth watering choices.

This place is amazing! Went for the first time 3 weeks ago and the service was quick and the food was delicious. There was a group of 8 of us and everything came out in a timely manner. Highly recommend!

It was my birthday month and had to celebrate with one of my fellow "October" bday girlfriends. I hadn't been to City Cafe & Bakery in over 15 years. I am rarely in downtown Fayetteville to dine. I'm usually passing through the area. We met there after 2p and the Cafe was nicely decorated for "Oktober Fest". I ordered the scrumptious Fish and Chips. My girlfriend ordered the huge and juicy cheese burger. We were very pleased. Our server was pleasant but busy. She almost forgot to refill our water glasses, and bring ketchup to the table, as requested. It wasn't that crowded, so we were somewhat perplexed about the delay. After the yummy meal, we decided to check out the bakery display window. I chose sugar cookie, double chocolate cookie, cranberry with white chocolate cookie and a chocolate mousse filled cupcake. The desserts were divine and my hubby was happy for these surprise treats. I plan to return very soon!!
